Two weeks, four group rides, almost 100 miles ridden and Brewcyclers was created. It took exactly that amount of time for two Libran adventurers to brew up this cycling group. You probably get the cycling but why add the booze? It’s simple, because we love beer and with so many microbreweries popping up all over Southern California, why not get your cardio workout with a rewarding pint (or two) of delicious cold beer, all the while enjoying the beauty of Southern California’s weather and discover new brews you wouldn’t have otherwise known about.
Even being a health and fitness freak, I still like to enjoy a good brew once in awhile and when you add cycling into the mix, it just doubles the pleasure. So all those counting calories, not to worry, you’ll burn off all the calories during our rides.
The past couple weeks, I had the opportunity to participate in group rides ranging from hundreds of mostly Gen Z hipsters zipping through the streets of LA, hopping from spot to spot, to a group of 15 laid-back wanderlusts on a relaxing urban ride. Two common factors are shared between every person I met during the rides, and that is the passion for cycling and the passion for fun. We want to create the same environment with our Brewcyclers events and bring like-minded people who share the same love for cycling and beer.
We have plenty of ideas distilling in Brewcyclers HQ but we welcome any recommendations whether it’s a specific route, a particular brewery or partnership opportunities, the more we collaborate, the better our events will be. Currently, we have two events planned, but many more will be announced so please stay connected with us on Facebook and on Twitter @brewcyclers
